I am using Efficient Calendar Free, Version 3.10. When I launch the program, the day view appears. I would prefer to have the month view as the default view. Is there an option or preference setting to do that? By looking at the entire month, I can see at glance what commitments I have made for that month. If that option isn't available, I would suggest it as a feature of a future release of the software.
Yes, you could set it in "Tools-options-General"-"Default view on startup".
What format do an import file need to be in for EC to import the file? Also is that a file that has the US Holidays?
Our software only support importing of .csv file. In fact, you could only import the holidays from "Language\English\Holiday" folder in the file where you instal the software. And the format is .eph. What's more, you could make the .eph file by yourself as the following steps: download EfficientPIM Localizer from http://www.efficientpim.com/localization.htm; and then use the program Holidy File Maker in it to make the .eph file.

i'm sorry if you received two of these e-mails.... i was in the middle of writing one.... called away to another site... came back and the e-mail had disappeared along with this page.... i am new to effcient software products... i am using effcient calendar.... is there an option for the calendar to start when i bootup the computer?
You could select the option "Run at Windows Startup" in "Tools-Options-General".
can I synchronize calendar/dates/tasks/contacts with smartphones: android / google / blackberry / windows phone?
Sorry, the current version does not have this feature. We will consider adding it in future versions.
